Shadowboxing with Scott

G’day all.

I have been away in the remote jungles of Borneo for a few weeks which was amazing!

Whilst I was off the grid my mate Dr Scott Weingart relesased a podcast that we recorded together. It is a case-based discussion about a super sick patient where my brain was stretched and I used all the neurons available! I wanted to share my relative ignorance with Scott as he is the fountain of knowledge for these super unwell scenarios and has a lot of amazing learning points to share.

As a rural Doc this is a HALO case (High acuity, low occurrence). However, critical illness does not respect geography – so we need to understand these uncommon situations and have a plan – often one that goes well beyond the ALS algorithms.
