Snakebite 101: Broome’s Brits SAMCC down PK
In case you have been living on a planet other than Earth it is only a few weeks until the SMACC conference kicks off in Sydney – it is going to be “epic” as my Med Students like to say.
I am really looking forward to meeting a heap of people whom I have ‘met’ in the online FOAMed community and learning form them.
Part of the conference is an unreal competition: the PK (pecha kucha) presentation comp.
The brief is simple : 20 slides, 20 seconds each = 640 seconds of high impact Meducation.
I am really proud of the effort made by my posse of JMOs in Broome – they overcame their fears of our local, legless friends and created a punchy overview of managing snakebites. So here it is – all you need to know about snakebites in 640 odd seconds –

Hope you enjoyed it and learned a thing or two.
Now get along to Sydney if you can March 11-13, or follow the fun on twitter etc via the FOAMed community.
Hope to see you there,
Casey
Go the Poms! Really useful for me. Great presentation, thanks.
This is a simple but practical presentation on a potentially confusing topic and shows just how useful a pecha kucha presentation can be. Whilst it causes me physical pain to praise the English, great job guys.
